Blonde hair. To include: (A) Two German fashion dolls. Ca. 1870s. Dressed in fine silk gowns. One is 17″ long, the other 14″ long. They both have nice jewelry, and the larger of the two has a chatelaine purse. (B) Seven dolls depicting children, one of which is a boy. Ranging in size from 3 1/4″ to 9 1/2″ tall. They are dressed in late 19th C. clothing. (C) Three dolls wearing 18th C. style clothing (but are definitely mid-19th C. dolls). The females are 9 1/2″ tall, the male is 11″ tall. (D) Baby doll in a christening gown. (E) Ca. 1870s doll dressed in black mourning wear. 15 1/2″ tall. (F) Doll with swivel head on porcelain shoulders. Mourning wear. Comes with a parasol. 15″ tall. Provenance: Property deaccessioned from the Old Dartmouth Historical Society, New Bedford, Massachusetts. Proceeds to benefit the collection. (A) Silk gown on the smaller of the two dolls is in poor condition. (B) The heads of three of these dolls are quite loose, as might be expected with dolls for such young children. (C)One is missing her eyes; the other two have very cloudy eyes. (D) Missing some hair. (F) Porcelain hands as-is.
