Depicts bustling activity with foreign and domestic ships in the seaport town, workmen in boats and people strolling along the shore. Dated 1793. By Freeman and Company Printfellers to His Majesty. Sight size: 22″ high x 29″ wide. In a black frame with gold liner measuring 27 3/4″ high x 35 1/2″ wide. Good condition with some tanning. Has not been removed from the frame. Provenance: From the estate of Alan Gaines of A & A Gaines Antiques, Newport, Rhode Island.
