Large Lot Vintage Paper Dolls & Accessories

Large assembled collection of vintage paper dolls, clothing and accessories, comprising several hundred pieces. Includes Shirley Temple figures, Black paper dolls, babies and young children, and several wide-eyed, flapper-style figures reminiscent of Betty Boop. Accompanied by a large assortment of clothing, hats, shoes and other wardrobe pieces, including police, baseball, clown, sailor and cowboy outfits, numerous dresses and everyday fashions. Also included are animals, toys, nursery furnishings and household or dressing-room accessories, including a wagon, playpen, toy box, baby swing, dresser, bottles, brushes and related items. Four groups are retained in labeled envelopes or bags inscribed “Marie’s Clothes,” “Annette’s,” “Cecile’s” and “Emelie’s.” Many pieces bear pencil notations on the reverse identifying the corresponding doll and outfit number, while some clothing tabs have typed names indicating the doll to which they belong. The collection appears to have been carefully organized originally, although the pieces are now mixed among album sleeves, envelopes and loose groupings. Pieces have not been individually counted, and the completeness of individual sets is unknown. Age-related wear, creases, tears, losses, pencil inscriptions, and missing or damaged tabs throughout.
